Not your regular family dinner!
The What?A virtual reality experience where all Abrahamic religions are united and at peace. This too-good-to-be-true life will last for 15 minutes where the user will find themselves at a "family" dinner socializing and interacting with the objects/family members (aka 3D characters).
The Why?Throughout the experience, the user will find how similar all Abrahamic religions are to each other and that there's no need for all the existing conflicts between them. The main purpose is to bring people that are practicing "different" Abrahamic religions together. Maya (who is also my sister) and I are highlighting very generic dilemmas and showcasing how people from different religions would act.
Spoiler alert: religion has nothing to do with our actions
They shape guidelines for us to follow, but at the end of the day, the main principles are the same across all religions. This, for sure, goes beyond the three Abrahamic religions.
However, we decided to narrow it down to Abrahamic religions (for now) because this dinner is inspired by our own reality. We are blessed to be a part of a family that's unusually diverse and accepting of each and everyone's beliefs. I use "unusually" because this is unfortunately not common where we were raised. We want to destroy the idea of "if you're different than me, then you're against me."
Inspiration
I've seen this quote by an anonymous Arabic Instagrammer that translates to "religion is the victim of its followers.". I was truly amazed by how these simple words just spoke to my soul and I believe that this goes to all religions of the world. We've seen how a religion like Islam has been accused of being inhumane by how the media portrays its followers. However, and this may shock so many people, Islam is just another religion that encourages peace, love, and justice. ISIS, Muslim Brotherhood, and all these movements are just political and corrupt parties that function under it being a part of a religion for credibility (or what I love to call, marketing) purposes.
